Hello Friends,
This has been a...difficult? challenging?...not sure of the right words...time for us.
Jeff's sister Carri, in the photo with her husband Scott, passed away suddenly. She was truly the kindest and most caring person I've ever known, and is greatly missed by her husband, children, and 2 grandchildren who all adored her. The other photo is Jeff with his parents and siblings at Carri's daughter Nora's wedding, August 2014. We know that Carri is celebrating Christmas with her grandparents in heaven, but we miss having her here. A different Christmas for us, but we have faith that the hope of Christmas, the eternal joy promised with the birth of Christ, will sustain us all both now and in the future. Thank you for your prayers.
Something that has been less stunning but more ongoing - my daughter Gracie, who is 17, was diagnosed with Lyme disease, and also two other tick-borne infections, this fall after several years of tests and doctor visits were unsuccessful in determining the cause of her illness. We've never seen a tick on her, which was part of why the diagnosis was so hard to reach. She had started to respond to treatment, but recently came down with some seasonal illnesses which have delayed her progress. We are hopeful that once we move through this season that she will be able to improve and enjoy her last semester of high school.
So to all of you who have patiently waited for your artwork, or even to hear from me...thank you very much. I hope to be able to complete everything at the beginning of the year, and also to get in touch with you as soon as possible.
Your memories - all of our memories - are so important.
I wish you all a blessed Christmas season, and a peaceful and happy New Year.
Jennifer
